St. Nicolai - Die St.-Nicolai-Kirche befindet sich im Zentrum der zu Schöningen gehörenden Ortsschaft Hoiersdorf. Sie wurde im 14. Jahrhundert erbaut und erstmals bei der Abtretung des Kirchenpatronats der von Alvenleben an das Lorenzkloster erwähnt.

1642 wurde sie erneuert, Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts erfolgte eine weitere umfassende Restaurierung des Kirchenschiffes und Westturmes.

Der Turm brannte 1850 bei einem Dorfbrand aus und wurde 1865 neu erbaut. 

St. Nicolai ist eine gotische Saalkirche auf Bruchsteinsockel. Es gibt ein Langhaus mit Pilastergliederung und geohrten Einfassungen der Fenster. An der Außenwand sind Grabsteine des 18. Jahrhunderts eingelassen.

Im Inneren der Kirche befindet sich ein Holztonnengewölbe und ein spätgotisches Sakramentshäuschen im Vestibül.

St. Nicolai - The St. Nicolai Church is located in the center of Hoiersdorf, which is part of the municipality of Schöningen. It was built in the 14th century and was first mentioned when the patronage of the church was transferred from the von Alvenleben family to the Lorenzkloster.

In 1642, the church was renewed, and in the mid-18th century, there was another extensive restoration of the nave and the west tower.

The tower burned down in a village fire in 1850 and was rebuilt in 1865.

St. Nicolai is a Gothic hall church with a rubble stone base. It has a nave with pilaster articulation and window surrounds with ornamentation. The exterior walls have tombstones from the 18th century embedded in them.

Inside the church, there is a wooden barrel vault and a late Gothic sacrament house in the vestibule.
