Zur Entwicklung einer zukunftsträchtigen Nachnutzung von Bergbauflächen im stillgelegten Helmstedter Braunkohlerevier, haben sich die beiden Städte Helmstedt und Schöningen zusammengetan und den Planungsverband Buschhaus gegründet.
Im Zuge des regionalen Strukturwandels und der aktuellen Energiewende sollen Teilflächen der bestehenden Bergbau- und Rekultivierungsflächen mit dem Schwerpunkt eines gewerblichen Erneuerbare-Energien-Standortes nachgenutzt werden.
Zur Standortfindung und Steuerung geeigneter Flächen für Freiflächen-PV-Anlagen hat der Planungsverband Buschhaus die vorliegende Potenzialstudie beauftragt. Die Planung des Erneuerbare-Energien-Standortes ist dabei nicht separat zu betrachten, sondern über das Verbandsgebiet des Planungsverbands Buschhaus hinaus und im Gesamtkontext der vorgesehenen Entwicklungen im ehemaligen Helmstedter Braunkohlerevier einschließlich der Flächen in der Gemeinde Harbke (Verbandsgemeinde Obere Aller, Landkreis Börde, Sachsen-Anhalt), die der Planungshoheit des Planungsverbandes Lappwaldsee unterliegen.
Site concept for the management of open-space PV systems
To develop a promising reuse of mining areas in the disused Helmstedt lignite mining area, the two cities of Helmstedt and Schöningen have joined forces and founded the Buschhaus Planning Association.
In the course of regional structural change and the current energy transition, parts of the existing mining and recultivated areas are to be reused with a focus on a commercial renewable energy site.
The Buschhaus Planning Association commissioned this potential study to identify and manage suitable sites for open-space PV systems. The planning of the renewable energy site should not be considered in isolation, but rather beyond the Buschhaus Planning Association's area of responsibility and in the overall context of the planned developments in the former Helmstedt lignite mining area, including the areas in the municipality of Harbke (Obere Aller Association Municipality, Börde District, Saxony-Anhalt), which are under the planning authority of the Lappwaldsee Planning Association.
